The Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers appointed Attorney Tracey A. Wood as president-elect.

Attorney Tracey A. Wood earned her J.D. at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin in 1992. She graduated with a B.A. at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1988.
Attorney Wood is admitted to the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Wisconsin, U.S. District Court Western District of Wisconsin, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 7th Circuit. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and the Dane County Bar Association (DCBA).
Attorney Tracey Wood is past president of the Dane County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. She is a member of the National College for DUI Defense Board of Regents and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
In practice since 1992, Attorney Tracey Wood devotes her professional time and energies to helping people accused (or convicted) of drunk driving and criminal offenses ranging from first offense misdemeanor drunk driving and disorderly conduct charges to felony drunk driving and aggravated sexual assault charges, people indicted on federal charges or prosecuted by state attorneys, and people appealing prior convictions and sentences in both state and federal appellate courts.
Attorney Tracey Wood is nationally known for her expertise in drunk driving defense law. She regularly presents at criminal defense seminars sharing her expertise in trying drunk driving and criminal cases. Attorney Tracey Wood is the first ever Wisconsin attorney to be appointed to the NCDD Board of Regents, the first and only femal on that board, and the youngest board member. She was also the first attorney ever certified as a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Instructor.
Attorney Tracey Wood is also known for her expertise in defending individuals accused of other federal and state crimes. Attorney Wood successfully litigated United States v. Andrez Perez, 50 F. 3d 396 7th cir. (1995). Tracey's most famous trial win to date was in the federal Fort McCoy military vehicle theft case which received national media coverage and even received a nod from Jay Leno on the Tonight Show.
Tracey Wood was a contributing author to Drunk Driving Defense, by Lawrence Taylor and Stephen Oberman. She has authored several articles that have been published in numerous trade journals, such as Challenging Prior Operating While Intoxicated Conviction, published in The Wisconsin Defender, Justice For All, January 2002 edition. Presently, she is co-authoring a new book entitled, Wisconsin DUI Defense - The Law and Practice, with Attorney James Nesci, which will be available in 2007.
