wisconsin dui sentencing
guidelines - jail time - fines
Wisconsin Sentencing Guidelines are a set of general guiding principles for courts to take into consideration while passing sentence upon a person convicted of a crime. The use or disregard of sentencing guidelines will not affect a persons appeal. Under Wis. Stat. 346.65(2m), every judicial district in Wisconsin is required to adopt sentencing guidelines for judges to follow when sentencing a defendant convicted by the state of Wisconsin for drunk driving - called an OWI or DUI DWI. Each Wisconsin county is listed below including Dane, Sauk, Richland, Marquette, Juneau, La Crosse, Eau Claire, Rock, Jefferson, Waukesha, Milwaukee and Fond du Lac County Wisconsin.
