Attorney Tracey A. Wood is among a handful of lawyers across the state of Wisconsin named to Super Lawyers of Wisconsin for 2007. Attorney Wood exclusively devotes her legal practice to defending people charged with (or convicted of) a criminal or drunk driving offense in the state of Wisconsin.

A native of Milwaukee, Attorney Tracey Wood is Wisconsin's first ever lawyer appointed to the Board of Regents for the National College for DUI Defense. She is also the first ever female, and the youngest member honored to serve as a regent. The NCDD is a progressive private college dedicated to training DUI defense lawyers across the U.S. how to defend their clients who have been arrested for driving under the influence. The college also contributes substantially to DUI law formation across the U.S.

Attorney Wood is president-elect of the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, an organization formed more than ten years ago by and for criminal and DUI defense attorneys. WACDL promotes proper administration of criminal justice; fosters and maintains the integrity, independence and expertise of defense lawyers in criminal cases; and encourages an unyielding concern for the protection of individual rights and due process. Attorney Wood also served as legal counsel to WACDL.

Attorney Tracey Wood is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She is a frequent guest speaker at national DUI defense conferences. She regularly conducts and facilitates seminars throughout the U.S. to further DUI defense lawyers expertise in the science of a DUI case and evidence.

Attorney Wood is also a member of the Dane County Bar Association. She is past president of Dane County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Attorney Tracey Wood authored Challenging Prior Operating While Intoxicated Convictions (published in Wisconsin Defender and available at her website, vanwagnerwood.com); she contributed to Drunk Driving Defense (Taylor & Oberman); and she is co-authoring Wisconsin DUI Defense - The Law & Practice.

In practice since 1981, Attorney Christopher T. Van Wagner (Chris Van Wagner) exclusively devotes his professional time and energies to helping people accused, charged or convicted of criminal or drunk driving offenses, and most frequently handles very serious criminal cases such as homicide, murder, sexual assault and drug crimes. Many Wisconsin Circuit Court judges have called upon Attorney Van Wagner to assist in cases where legal expertise was needed to protect the rights of the accused, particularly when charges included very serious felony offense. Van Wagner's case history has been impressive - with acquittals on numerous homicide charges including a felony murder jury acquittal after the defendant had confessed to murder, and acquittals on all counts of sexual assault in a small community where the community had taken stake in the case and emotions were high.

The Dane County defense bar honored Attorney Van Wagner as "Warrior of the Year" when he won an acquittal on behalf of a particularly difficult client (an ex-district attorney) in an attempted murder shooting case. The Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL) has three times awarded Attorney Chris Van Wagner the Martin Hanson Advocate's Prize a statewide honor for his repeated victories in homicide cases. Attorney Chris Van Wagner has repeatedly been chosen by his peers as one of Madison's Best Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Attorney Chris Van Wagner regularly appears as a guest criminal law commentator and legal analyst for Madison Channel 3000 News, ABC TV Channel 27 News, and local radio stations. Attorney Van Wagner has also appeared nationally as a criminal law commentator on Good Morning America, Court TV 's Nancy Grace Show, MSNBC's Dan Abrams Show, and The Today Show.
