The Wisconsin State Journal announced today that Christopher T. Van Wagner was named Super Criminal Defense Lawyer, Wisconsin 2006. Attorney Chris Van Wagner was one of a handful of criminal defense lawyers distinguished with this honor.
Attorney Christopher T. Van Wagner exclusively devotes himself to helping people accused, charged or convicted of criminal or drunk driving offenses. He often represents people against very serious felony charges such as homicide, murder, sexual assault and drug crimes. The Dane County defense bar honored Attorney Van Wagner as "Warrior of the Year" when he won an acquittal on behalf of a particularly difficult client (an ex-district attorney) in an attempted murder shooting case. The Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL) has three times awarded Attorney Chris Van Wagner the Martin Hanson Advocate's Prize a statewide honor for his repeated victories in homicide cases.
Attorney Chris Van Wagner has been chosen by his peers as one of Madison's Best Criminal Defense Lawyers in a recent suvey of all Dane county attorneys conducted by Madison Magazine. Chris Van Wagner was one of a handful of attorneys selected in 2007. That survey is conducted biannually, and in each survey, Attorney Van Wagner is among that small group of criminal defense lawyers whom the criminal defense attorneys of Dane county highly respect.
